This happened during an elephant show at the Chettuva School near Thrissur District in Kerala.

The elephant killed its mahout, T D M Unni and injured 24 persons during the show.

The elephant named Vinayan started to run amok after seeing another elephant named Vijay Krishan, running amok.

You can see the mahout, or keeper,being "lifted up like a rag doll" and impaled on the elephant Vinayan's tusk.
